Toronto FC finally made it to Seattle today, after trying to leave Edmonton on a relatively short flight yesterday afternoon.
Their flight was delayed, then cancelled, and alternative arrangements had to made. Ultimately, the Reds players flew to Vancouver, then took a three hour bus trip south to the Emerald City, arriving around 9am Pacific Time.
Travel issues aside, TFC has to be feeling good about their most result result, a 3-0 rout of upstart FC Edmonton in the Canadian Championship. Maicon and Alan Gordon both found the net for Toronto, with Joao Plata playing the role of provider in his first start for the Reds.

TFC takes their show on the road Wednesday, traveling to Alberta to face upstart FC Edmonton in the opener of the 2011 Nutrilite Canadian Championship.
Edmonton is the newest pro franchise in the country, taking part in the new NASL. When it comes to second division sides, TFC have shown that they could look ridiculously average (vs. Vancouver) or like the dominant first division side they should be (vs. Montreal).
Which Toronto FC will be on display within the vast confines of Commonwealth Stadium?

Everybody make sure you’re up to date on all your shots, as the Crew are due to make their way into town.
Columbus has played some stingy football of late, not allowing a goal against in week. We’ve all seen what TFC has done lately, which obviously means that Toronto is due to whoop some Ohio ass. Right? RIGHT??
Now would be the appropriate time for one of the Reds to take a hold of the match and put the boots to the yellow-clad dolts.
It’s our turn.

Get your raincoats and ponchos, Saturday nights game vs. DC United could be a wet one.
Both the Reds and DC United are coming off home draws against the LA Galaxy, with DC having the advantage of a week’s rest, while TFC has the home crowd to play off of.
Toronto carries a record of 1-1-3, firing off three straight draws after losing and winning in the first two matches of the season. TFC will be hoping to gain the full points from the first Eastern Conference opponent they will face in 2011.
Prior to the match, Toronto’s three main supporters groups — U-Sector, Red Patch Boys, and North End Elite — will be marching en masse to the stadium. We’ll need as many bodies and voices as possible, so join us in the Lamport Stadium parking lot at 6:20pm.

Wednesday night’s match at BMO Field will give the crowd a glimpse of the star of New York Times bestseller The Beckham Experiment, as Alan Gordon attempts to extend his two-game goalscoring streak.
But seriously, the real star of that book may not play as Landon Donovan is recovering from a thigh injury and did not travel with the team to Toronto on Monday.
We’ve heard that some English dude may make his Galaxy debut in Toronto, though, so there’s that.

After their come-from-behind draw last week, Toronto brings their *cough* two-game unbeaten streak to the west coast, facing off against hosts San Jose Earthquakes Saturday night.
Thus far, we’ve had a full week without a player leaving or joining the side, so hopefully a little more cohesiveness is in the cards for a match played in a stadium that has been kind to the Reds recently.
